OUR HISTORY
Since its founding in the early 1900s, Donalsonville Fire Rescue has grown from a small volunteer unit into a modern department equipped to meet today’s challenges. What began as neighbors helping neighbors has developed into a staffed fire department committed to excellence, teamwork, and service above self.
WHAT WE DO
- Fire Suppression: Responding quickly and effectively to fires in homes, businesses, and other areas.
- Emergency Response: We work side by side with local Emergency Medical Services providing life-saving aid in medical emergencies and accidents.
- Rescue Services: We face a variety of rescue situations, from vehicle extractions to those during natural disasters.
- Fire Prevention: Educating the public on fire safety, prevention, and emergency preparedness.
- Community Outreach: Partnering with schools, businesses, and organizations to promote safety and readiness.
