Shannon Stone and company talk about the Gustin pack, a fold used to build a remote line off an existing hoseline, thereby getting a line in service rapidly in a remote location.
This is a modified triple lay for our preconnected crosslays. *Notice: There is an unconventional loading method that pulls hose under hose. This helps us make sure we have flat and easier pull since our lines connect above the hose. (Thanks to R.Dukes on the idea for the underpull) 1.5 hrs

It is crucial to be a well-trained nozzleman and attack crew. Often times the attack team is a team of two or less. This video goes into details of the crew. This is a classic by the late great Andy Fredericks of FDNY Engine 48 and later Squad 18 (LODD-9/11/2001).
Tactics have changed over the years which allows room for newer techniques in hoseline advancement that relieves the backup firefighter from being right up on the nozzleman, however, this is a great video to refer back to the classics. MAIN POINT The main thing to take away from this video is the fact that deploying and advancing a hoseline efficiently is important for those who we serve and their property.
